The growth of the used car market is observed only in Dagestan

Among all regions of the Russian Federation, the growth of the used passenger car market remains only in the Republic of Dagestan, experts of the AUTOSTAT agency noted. So, in Dagestan, for 7 months of 2022, 60.4 thousand cars changed their owners, and this volume turned out to be 0.8% higher than in the same period of the previous year. In other regions of the Russian Federation, a fall in the secondary market is observed, and in the vast majority of them it is expressed in double digits. The only exceptions are Chechnya (-2%), Kabardino-Balkaria (-6.9%) and Karachay-Cherkessia (-7.2%).

In other regions of the country, the market of used passenger cars decreased by at least 10%. These include the largest regional markets - Moscow (-10.5%) and Moscow region (-20.9%). The secondary market fell most of all in Chukotka (-47.5%). Recall that in the country as a whole, the market of used cars fell by 21.5% by the results of 7 months.
