Haval intends to localize the production by 80% in Russia

The plant "Haval Motor Manufacturing Rus" in the Tula region plans to reach a level of localization of more than 80% for the next 6 years. The production complex of the enterprise includes a stamping, welding, painting and assembly shop, as well as a component production shop, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade reports. At present, every three minutes a new car leaves the assembly line of Haval Motor Manufacturing Rus, and with an increase in load, a new car can be produced every one and a half minutes. Recall that in the Russian market, the Haval lineup today includes the Jolion compact crossover, the updated F7 crossovers and the F7x crossover coupe, the H9 frame SUV and the new Dargo mid-size crossover, which are produced at the company's plant in the Tula region.

According to the data of the AUTOSTAT agency and Electronic Passport JSC, 14,723 Haval cars were purchased in Russia for seven months of 2022, which is 21% lower than the figure for the same period of the previous year. The bestseller of Haval in the Russian market in the reporting period was Jolion compact crossover with 6,912 sold cars (an increase of 3.7 times). It is also worth noting that in June, Russian Haval dealers began the sales of the new Dargo crossover.
