There were registered 830,000 cars from China in Russia

As of July 1st, 2022, there are 829.8 thousand Chinese brand cars in our country, which is 1.8% of the total number of registered passenger cars. Such data were obtained by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" during the preparation of a new report "Fleet of passenger cars of Chinese brands in the Russian Federation and a portrait of its owners."

Over a quarter (27.8%) of all "Chinese" in the Russian Federation is represented by the Chery brand - as of the middle of the year, such cars were registered in the amount of 231.1 thousand units. Geely and Lifan have comparable figures (159.4 thousand and 153.2 thousand units, respectively). The seventh part of the "Chinese" fleet belongs to the Great Wall brand (118.7 thousand units), and the tenth belongs to Haval (82.4 thousand units), which finished the top five. The share of passenger cars of all other brands from China accounts for slightly more than 10%.

The most popular Chinese model is Chery Tiggo - as of July 1st, 2022, there were 56.5 thousand such cars in our country. Lifan X60 (53.9 thousand units) is the second one in this rating, Great Wall Hover H3 (51.7 thousand units) is the third one. This is followed by Lifan Solano (51 thousand units), and the Great Wall Hover H5 finishes the TOP-5 with a result of 35.3 thousand units.
