The second week of August was marked by the fall of the car market

In the second week of August 2022, 11,335 units of new vehicles were purchased in Russia. According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT", by the results of processing and analysis of the relevant data of JSC "Electronic Passport", this is lower by 6% than in the first week. Three quarters of this amount belonged to the segment of passenger cars - from August 8th to August 14th, the residents of the Russian Federation purchased them in the amount of 8509 units.

This is 7% lower than a week earlier (from August 1st to 7th). The truck market remained at the level of the first week of the month - 1537 sold units. The market of light commercial vehicles (LCV) decreased by 3%, with a circulation of 1,090 units. The segment of buses decreased the most - by 12% to 199 units.
