Chery became the leader among Chinese automakers in Russia in July

According to the results of July, 2,577 new Chery cars were purchased in Russia, which is 37.6% lower than the previous year. As a result, Chery has become a leader among Chinese automakers in our country, according to the data of the AUTOSTAT agency and Electronic Passport JSC. Thus, the market volume of Geely was 2323 cars (-6.5%), Haval - 2155 units (-35.9%). The most popular Chery model in the Russian market in July was Tiggo 7 PRO crossover with 1,219 vehicles (-12.7%). The second place was taken by the compact crossover Chery Tiggo 4, which was chosen by 777 buyers (-51.4%). The third result was shown by the seven-seat crossover Chery Tiggo 8 PRO - 508 sold cars.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in 2023 Chery will present in Russia the Tiggo 8 PRO crossover with a DHT hybrid installation, which includes three engines: one turbo charged gasoline 1.5 and two electric engines, and a three-speed transmission provides transmission of maximum torque up to 510 Nm . As noted, unlike classic hybrid transmissions (with two engines), Chery's technologically advanced DHT transmission uses a hybrid architecture that allows you to drive more flexibly a car using an engine and electric motors independently of each other.
