Which car options are considered the most useful with Russian customers?


Chinese brands have 1.5 times more dealers than Russian brands


As of mid-July 2022, there were 812 dealerships in Russia of selling and servicing passenger cars and LCVs of Chinese brands. According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" according to the results of their own monitoring, this is 1.5 times higher than the total number of dealers of Russian brands (541). Currently, there are 4 domestic automakers in our market - LADA, GAZ, UAZ and Aurus. LADA has the largest dealer network among them, as well as in the market as a whole - as of mid-July, it has 307 auto centers. Similar figures for GAZ and UAZ are 119 and 113, respectively. Aurus has two more dealers.

Among the "Chinese" in terms of the number of dealers, Chery is the leader - 149. Also, Haval and Geely have more than a hundred auto centers (119 and 104, respectively). JAC has 89 dealerships, Changan and FAW have 86 units each, and EXEED has 63 units. Other Chinese manufacturers have less than 50 dealerships. Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" also note that if we consider only the passenger car segment, then the advantage of Chinese brands over Russian ones in terms of the number of dealers is even stronger - 1.75 times (740 and 422, respectively).

At the same time, until 2013 inclusively, domestic brands always had more auto centers than the "Chinese". Since 2014, the situation turned in the opposite direction.
