The market of new buses fell by 20% in July

In July 2022, 904 new buses were purchased in Russia. This is 20% lower than in the same month of the previous year, and only 1% lower than in June. This was found out by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" during the processing and analysis of the relevant data of JSC "Electronic Passport". Experts also note that 62% of new buses purchased in July were of domestic origin, and 22.5% of the market belonged to the products of the Belarusian auto industry.

The brand rating is headed by the Russian brand PAZ, the volume of which was 303 units, which is 40% lower than in July 2021. The Belarusian MAZ took the second place with the result of 203 units (an increase of 10.7 times). This is followed by the domestic Volgabus (88 units) and the Chinese Yutong (81 units; an increase of almost 4 times). The domestic LIAZ finishes the top five with a score of 61 units (-64%).

PAZ 3204 leads the model ranking, which sold 149 units in July. The Belarusian MAZ 203 managed to take the second place with a score of 105 purchased buses. In the third place there is its "comrade on the conveyor" - MAZ 206 (98 units). But PAZ 3205 dropped to the fourth line of the rating, its result is 94 units. Volgabus 4298 finishes the TOP-5 of models, purchased in the amount of 78 units. Experts also calculated that according to the results of 7 months of 2022, 7219 new buses were purchased in the Russian Federation, which is 1% higher than in January-July of 2021. At the same time, 121 units of them were electric buses (1.7% of the market).
