The tire production plant in the Leningrad Region will change its label after NokianTyres leaves Russia and will look for new sales markets. This was announced by the governor of the region Alexander Drozdenko, according to whom NokianTyres will sell its business or transfer it to management. "But the difficulty is that the label itself, which you are used to, most likely will not remain, there will be another label, and it is important that it conquer markets.

The volume of production is very large, our Nokian Tires plant in Vsevolozhsk is one of the largest in the world and the management will have to work to find new sales markets, because tires were supplied to Europe, Canada and the USA, and unfriendly countries banned the import of tires from Russia," said head of the Leningrad region. Recall that at the end of June, the Finnish concern NokianTyres decided to initiate a controlled exit from the Russian market. At the same time, the management of the Russian company NokianTyres prepared and submitted to the Board of Directors of the concern a proposal on the future format of the company's operation in Russia in an autonomous mode.

Also, the Board of Directors may consider other potential decisions as a part of a controlled exit from the market. A decision on it is expected to be made during the third quarter of 2022. Until then, NokianTyres in Russia will continue its work, including the production at the plant in Vsevolozhsk, and will fully fulfill all its obligations to employees, customers, suppliers, and other partners. Currently, the issues of providing the plant with raw materials and materials under sanctions restrictions are being worked out in order to continue operating activities.
