On August 1st, Ural Automobile Plant resumed the production after a planned corporate holiday, which took place from July 18th to 31st. This was reported in the press service of the enterprise, by adding that during the holiday period, repairs of equipment operating around the clock were traditionally carried out. Meanwhile, the Ural Automobile Plant expects to increase its daily production rate to 45 vehicles. Before a corporate holiday, this figure was 33 - 36 cars in average.
At the same time, the company does not plan downtime and cuts, on the contrary, it intends to increase its staff by hiring about 300 more people. By the end of 2022, the Ural Automobile Plant plans to produce 8.4 thousand vehicles, double investments in development, by allocating 4.5 billion rubles for projects against 2.3 billion rubles the previous year. Thus, the car plant continues to implement investment projects. The funds are invested in the development of the product line, the modernization of production and the renewal of fixed assets.
Among the key projects of this year there are the development and mastering of the production of a promising model range of driving axles and front axles of Ural vehicles and wheeled vehicles of OMG LLC (United Machine-Building Group, which includes Ural), the creation of a line of heavy non-wheel drive cars, organizing the production of superstructures for Ural cars, the Arctic Bus project. Recall that AZ "Ural" is a part of the "United Machine-Building Group". Since March 2020, the Group owns 100% of the authorized capital of the plant.
