Kaluga plant Continental resumed the work

Continental's Kaluga plant resumed the operations on August 1st after a shutdown in July and continues to ensure the shipment of products for Russian buyers. This was reported to the agency "AUTOSTAT" in the press service of "Continental Kaluga", by adding that the production plan will be promptly adjusted depending on the changing needs for the products of the plant of Russian automakers and distributors, as well as taking into account the logistics situation, the availability of raw materials and other objective factors affecting the production cycle.

Recall that the Continental Kaluga tire plant was opened in October 2013, investments in the project were 240 million Euros. The production capacity of the enterprise is 4 million tires per year with prospects for expansion to 16 million. Currently, the plant employs more than 1000 people. Continental Kaluga produces winter and summer tires for cars and light trucks of three company brands: Continental, Gislaved and Matador. Tires are supplied to the primary and secondary markets. In 2015, the Kaluga plant Continental began the export deliveries, including to the countries of Europe, Asia and North America.
