Chery will introduce a hybrid SUV in Russia in 2023

Chery has started the sales of Tiggo 8 series vehicles with DHT hybrid transmission. Brazil is the first export market to introduce the vehicle with the new power plant, where the new product will be called the Tiggo 8 PRO e+. In Russia, the first hybrid from Chery will be presented the next year, the press service of the automaker reports. The model architecture of future Chery products includes three-motor hybrids with mono- and all-wheel drive.

Chery's DHT system includes three engines: one 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol and two electric motors, a three-speed transmission delivers maximum torque of up to 510 Nm. Unlike classic hybrid transmissions (with two engines), Chery's DHT technology transmission uses a hybrid architecture that allows you to more flexibly drive the car using the engine and electric engine independently of each other.

Based on the dual-motor drive configuration, Chery's DHT has nine high-performance operating modes, such as: single-motor/double-motor drive, expansion, synchronous, direct drive, single/double motor power recovery, charging while driving and others. And also during the movement, the control system calculates the optimal transmission power in the movement of time. Chery's DHT system allows you to measure distances of 100 km using the exceptional power of electric motors, while fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 1 liter per 100 km, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes only 7 seconds.
