Gorky Automobile Plant went on a corporate vacation

Gorky Automobile Plant has suspended the production for the period of a two-week corporate vacation. This was reported to the Interfax agency in the press service of the enterprise, by adding that GAZ plans to resume the work on August 8th.

During a corporate holiday at the Gorky Automobile Plant, equipment will be installed to organize the mass production of a new model of the Sobol NN light commercial vehicle. Serial production of new items is planned for the fourth quarter of 2022. The release of the Sobol NN line will begin with cargo and cargo-passenger vans, and other modifications will appear in the future.

Recall that in July the Gorky Automobile Plant worked on a full-time schedule. Earlier, GAZ Group enterprises issued an order on a possible transition to a 4-day working week from May 19th to November 18th, 2022 due to a possible drop in production volumes caused by problems with the supply of components and disruption of supply chains. In May and June, the reduced working week was not introduced. As reported, a situational headquarters is working in the company in an anti-crisis mode, which introduces the response measures, taking into account daily changes in business conditions and possible consequences in the future.
