According to the results of the first half of 2022, 51,565 units of equipment of all types were produced in Kazakhstan, which is 30.6% higher than in the same period of the previous year.

According to the Kazakhstan Auto Business Association (AKAB), there were produced 46,972 cars (+35.8%), 3,862 trucks (-9.4%), 611 buses (+14.4%), 280 trailers and semi-trailers and 120 units of other specialized vehicles during the reporting period. The decline in the production of trucks was caused by the zeroing of the recycling fee for truck tractors in Kazakhstan, which also led to the suspension of a number of production projects for freight transport.

In the first six months of 2022, the Kostanay plant "SaryarkaAutoProm" produced 31,992 cars, trucks and buses (+ 33.5%). Almaty Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan produced 16,841 cars (+36.7%). Semipalatinsk "SemAZ" shipped 1200 units of commercial vehicles. In Kokshetau, KAMAZ-Engineering produced 626 trucks. The Hyundai Trans Auto plant produced 556 trucks and buses. QazTehna and Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan accounted for 97 and 111 buses, respectively.

According to the forecast of AKAB, this year the growth of production in Kazakhstan will remain at the level of more than 20%, also due to the program of preferential car loans, which started in May of 2022.
