Kazakhstan car market in June showed the best result since the beginning of the year

According to the results of June, 11,418 new cars and commercial vehicles were sold in Kazakhstan, which is 2.9% higher than a year ago. According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), this is the best result since the beginning of the year, while against the backdrop of interruptions in the supply of new cars from Russia, the share of Kazakhstan-made cars in June grew up to 83.5% of total sales. For six months of 2022, residents of the republic purchased 51,847 cars, which is 0.3% lower in compare with the same period of the previous year.

According to AKAB, Chevrolet remains the leader in the Kazakhstan car market in June, the result of which was 4104 cars (+35%). Second place is held by Hyundai, which increased sales by 29.9% to 2529 cars. The third place is occupied by Kia - cars of this brand were sold in the amount of 1316 units (-10.4%). LADA follows with 1112 sold cars (+8%). Toyota still finishes the top-five, its dealers sold 756 vehicles (-45.6%).
