Iveco will leave Russia and transfer a stake in a local joint venture to its partner


The Italian truck manufacturer Iveco has decided to curtail completely its business in Russia and leave the Iveco-AMT joint venture in the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk Region, which was engaged in licensed assembly of Iveco trucks.

This was announced by Iveco CEO Gerrit Marks, by noting that the decision to transfer the company's share to the local partner AMT has already been made, the deal is planned to be completed before the end of this year. Mr. Marx did not name the reasons for Iveco's departure from Russia, saying only that "financials are not the issue here."
