Chinese premium electric car Dongfeng Voyah Free to enter Russia

Chinese premium brand Dongfeng Voyah plans to enter the Russian market with the Free electric crossover in 2023, reports RIA Novosti. The cost of the electric vehicle is estimated at $52.7 thousand, which at the current rate is more than 3.1 million rubles. The electric crossover is 4,905 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, 1,660 mm high. The maximum speed is 200 km/h, and it can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. In the Chinese market, the electric vehicle is offered with three power plants.  The first version has only electric motor with a power of 347 hp on the rear axle.

Its range is 505 km on a single charge. The second version has an additional electric motor that rotates front wheels. The power of this vehicle was increased up to 694 hp, but the drive range was reduced to 475 km. The third modification is a hybrid with a 1.5-liter engine. It helps recharge battery power. This version of the Dongfeng Voyah Free will travel up to 860 km without recharging and refueling.

We should remind that in June, the share of Chinese vehicles in the Russian market was already 21%. Although at the beginning of the year, their share was 9.5%. Today, every fifth vehicle sold in Russia is a representative of Chinese brands.
