The suspense is getting more intense around the former Renault Russia plant (Moskvich now). Just a week ago, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, signing an agreement between the Government of Moscow and KAMAZ, told reporters about the plans for this production site, naming very specific deadlines and volumes of the future car production. The company presented a suggested lineup of future vehicles, which were immediately recognized by the experts as the models of Chinese JAC. And suddenly, we receive new unexpected information regarding the Moscow Automobile Plant and vehicles that will be produced under Moskvich brand.

Thus, at the Strong Russia summit, the head of Iranians Abroad Russian center, Mirzai Ghazi Abbas Moslem, said that the production of Iranian cars could begin at the Moscow Automobile Plant. At the same time, the speaker mentioned some "serious dialogue" and "preliminary agreement." Moreover, RTVI.com reports that companies from Iran are also considering collaboration with the enterprises of Tatarstan - in Naberezhnye Chelny and Yelabuga.

The country has licenses from Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot and Renault – so, it has the appropriate technology. Such cooperation may mean the saturation of the Russian car market and the automotive industry with the necessary automotive components. We should remind that at the Moscow Motor Show in August 2021, Iran Khodro displayed its new vehicles – the Runna, the Dena, the Tara (the restyled Peugeot 301).
