New bus market in June: the most popular brands and models

In June, 911 new buses were purchased in Russia, which is 33% less than in June 2021. This was found out by the experts of AUTOSTAT agency after the analysis of data from Electronic Passport company. At the same time, comparing to May, in June, this market grew by 12%. Experts also register that 65% of new buses purchased in June were of domestic brands, and a little more than 21% of the market came from the Belarusian brands.

The leader of the brand rating is Russian PAZ with 343 vehicles sold, 42% less than in June 2021. Belarusian MAZ took the second place with 188 vehicles (4.5 times growth). It is followed by Russian LIAZ (86 vehicles; -66%). The TOP-5 also includes domestic Volgabus (77 vehicles; +93%) and Chinese Yutong (68 vehicles; 2.6 times growth). Other brands sold fewer than 50 vehicles. There were minor changes in the model ranking. The former leader – the PAZ 3205 - was replaced by the PAZ 3204 with 139 vehicles sold in June.

The demand for the PAZ 3205 came up to 130 vehicles. Belarusian MAZ 206 took the third place with 113 purchased buses. The sales of other models were under 100 vehicles and the TOP-10 also included the LIAZ 5292 (86 vehicles), the MAZ 203 (71 vehicles), the PAZ 4234 (62 vehicles), the Volgabus 5270G (57 vehicles), the Yutong ZK6122H9 (40 vehicles), the KAVZ 4238 (24 vehicles) and the NEFAZ 5299 (24 vehicles).
