How much can new Moskvich cost?

In the current climate, it is difficult to estimate the prices of vehicles that will be produced at Moskvich plant in Moscow.  However, after the suggested models were presented, the reporters and experts decided to calculate their possible cost. Thus, the partner of AUTOSTAT agency, expert Igor Morzharetto, in a conversation with Izvestia, suggested that since Chinese companies offer their crossovers for 2 million rubles, and the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos are more expensive, the Moskvich in the standard configuration can cost from 1.5 to 2 million rubles. This is if we are talking about the current prices. An independent consultant in the automotive industry, Sergey Burgazliev, is sure that the price range can be much wider.

He believes that the most affordable Moskvich model should cost 1.4 million rubles, and the most expensive one can reach up to 4 million rubles. At the same time, the head of the press service of AUTOSTAT agency Azat Timerkhanov admits that the new Moskvich vehicles, which, most likely, will be models of Chinese JAC, but with a different label, may cost a little cheaper than those currently sold in Russia. "These are very uncertain assumptions, since the minimum price of JAC models currently starts from 1.3 million rubles.

And if the new Moskvich went on sale today, I do not exclude that at the first stage they could cost a little cheaper, perhaps from 1.1 - 1.2 million rubles. But since their sales will most likely begin at the end of the year, it is very difficult to talk about their price at that time. It is not clear what other events will happen over these few months, first of all, geopolitical ones, which might affect everything.  ... What will happen to the ruble? Will the lineup be reconsidered by then?" he explains.
