New truck market in June: most popular brands and models

5,766 new trucks were purchased in Russia in June 2022. Having processes data of Electronic Passport company, experts of AUTOSTAT agency calculated that this is 39% less than in June 2021. However, comparing to May, the June result is more optimistic - 35% higher than in May. At the same time, domestic brands generated more than a half (53%) of the total market. KAMAZ is a traditional market leader with 40% share. That is 2,314 vehicles in terms of numbers (-30% compared to June 2021).

The second place (and the first among foreign brands) was taken by Chinese Shacman (Shaanxi) with 17% share (973 vehicles). Experts register an increasing popularity of this brand in our market (3.5 times growth). The third place is occupied by the domestic Ural (382 vehicles); its sales decreased by 3% in June. TOP-5 leaders of the truck market also included Russian GAZ and Chinese Howo with 328 and 318 vehicles, respectively. The demand for the first brand decreased (-63%), while the sales of the second brand increased (+96%).

As for the models, the KAMAZ 65115 became the leader with 796 vehicles sold in June. The KAMAZ 43118 is on the second place of the model rating with 509 vehicles. They are followed by two representatives of Chinese Shacman - the SX3318 and the SX3258 (425 and 403 vehicles, respectively). The fifth and sixth lines of the June model rating belong to the KAMAZ 6520 (263 vehicles) and the KAMAZ 5490 (233 vehicles). The TOP-10 also included the GAZ Gazon Next (187 vehicles), the FAW CA3310 (151 vehicles), the JAC N120 (101 vehicles) and the Ural 4320 NEXT (93 vehicles).
