AVTOVAZ to produce 100-120 thousand LADA cars in the second half of the year

At INNOPROM-2022 exhibition, which takes place in Yekaterinburg, the head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, spoke about the company's production plans in an interview with Federal Press. He explained that the company plans to produce up to 100,000 vehicles (up to 120,000 vehicles if the LADA Largus is launched) in the second half of the year and at least 400,000 vehicles next year.  However, quite recently, at the end of June, the production plans for 2023 included 500,000 LADA vehicles. According to Vladimir Razumkov, chairman of the government of Ulyanovsk region, such objectives were set out to the suppliers by AVTOVAZ management (the figures were announced at the conference of suppliers).

At the exhibition, Maxim Sokolov also expressed confidence that the enterprise would be able to start assembling the LADA Niva Legend in July, and the LADA Niva Travel in August. In an interview with RIA Novosti, he also mentioned the Largus, but without specific timing and promises. At the beginning of 2023, AVTOVAZ plans to start production of the updated LADA Vesta. According to the head of the company, 100,000 -120,000 vehicles produced in the second half of 2022 is a volume that is "balanced with the market demand." The new business model of the enterprise does not include task to fill stores with vehicles.
