In June, sales of commercial vehicles were 41% better than in May

In June 2022, 11,572 new commercial vehicles were sold in Russia. According to data of Electronic Passport company processed by the experts of AUTOSTAT agency, that is 41% more than in May. At the same time, truck sales are better than the demand for light commercial vehicles (LCV) for the third month in a row. Thus, in June, 5,766 trucks were purchased in our country, which is a half of the total commercial vehicle market.

At the same time, comparing to May, truck sales increased by 35%. 4,895 LCVs were sold in Russia in the first summer month, which is 59% better than in May. Bus sales in June (911 vehicles) were only 12% better than in May. On the other hand, comparing to the previous year (June 2021), commercial vehicle sales decreased by 52%. The largest decline was in LCV sales (-64%), while the demand for trucks and buses decreased by 39% and 33%, respectively.
