AVTOVAZ produced more than 7 thousand LADA Granta cars in June

AVTOVAZ, which resumed the work on June 8th with the production of a simplified LADA Granta, produced more than 7,000 cars by the end of the month, as planned. This was announced at a working meeting with the Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov by the President of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, expressing confidence that, given the accelerated localization of suppliers of automotive components, certain modifications will gradually return to the market step by step. Thus, in July it is planned to increase the production of cars by 30% - up to 10 thousand and launch a conveyor where Niva Legend will be produced, and from August already Niva Travel.

The management of AVTOVAZ expects that in the second half of this year the plant will produce about 100 thousand vehicles. “We are working in two shifts. The third conveyor line has not been launched yet. Perhaps we will start the assembly of LADA Largus in the near future, however, due to the large package of components that fall under the sanctions regime, we cannot say yet for sure how long the stock that we have now created at the plant will last if there are no new channels, supply chains. In any case, we expect that next year the plant's capacity will allow the production of at least 400 and even 500 thousand cars,” Maxim Sokolov said.
