JV «Knorr-Bremse Kama» completely passed under the control of KAMAZ

The German industrial group Knorr-Bremse AG has withdrawn from the capital of the Knorr-Bremse Kama joint venture. Until now, the share of a foreign investor in the company was 50%, but now PJSC KAMAZ as the sole owner is reflected in the database of the tax inspectorate. At the same time, KAMAZ became the sole owner of the KAMAZ Brake Systems company, which is managed by Manfred Kindermann, General Director of Knorr-Bremse Kama, writes the corporate publication Vesti KAMAZ.

KAMAZ does not comment on the terms of the deal with the German partner, however, as Oleg Afanasiev, head of the company's press service, explained, changes in the composition of the founders will not affect the work of production. “The enterprise continues its production activities due to the high localization of products and intends to develop further the product line for trucks of KAMAZ PJSC,” he said. Recall that the beginning of the history of Knorr-Bremse Kama, specializing in the production of brake systems, was laid in December 2007 by the signing of an agreement on the creation of a joint venture in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The production of drum brakes for KAMAZ was launched on July 1, 2008, since then the entire range of these products for KAMAZ vehicles has been mastered.
