The market of used electric vehicles in Russia is doing much better than the secondary market of passenger cars in the country as a whole. So, in May 2022, the Russians purchased 621 used electric vehicles - 6% lower than a year ago. For comparison: the entire secondary market of passenger cars this month decreased by 30%.

As for the results of five months, the situation looks even more eloquent: in January-May 2022, 3913 electric vehicles changed their owners, and this is 41% higher than a year ago, i.e., the dynamics are positive. For comparison: the entire secondary market of passenger cars during this period "went into the red", while it decreased by 20%. Such data were received by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" by the results of processing the relevant information by JSC "Electronic Passport".

More than a half of the market of used electric vehicles in January-May belonged to the products of the Nissan brand. In quantitative terms, this is about 2.1 thousand units. And almost one in five (21.8%) used electric cars was Tesla (852 units). The threshold of 100 units was also overcome by BMW (159 units), Porsche (131 units) and Audi (121 units). Nissan Leaf remained the most popular model in the secondary market of electric cars (2076 units). Tesla Model 3 took the second place in the model rating by the results of 5 months, with a circulation of 398 units. Two more Teslas follow - Model S (193 units) and Model Y (168 units). BMW i3 (136 units) also got into the TOP-5.
