The share of American brand cars in our country has decreased to 1% in 2022. Almost a half of cars (49%) include Chevrolet. Tesla (16%) climbed to the second place, and Jeep (15%) was third in popularity among American brands in 2022. In addition to them, new cars Cadillac, Ford, RAM, Dodge, and even GMC, Lincoln and Chrysler still come to Russian roads.
Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" came to this conclusion, evaluating the data of JSC "Electronic Passport". At the peak of the Russian car market (2007-2008), the share of American brands was 15-16%. At that time, Ford and Chevrolet cars were the most popular among Russians. Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Cadillac, Hummer and some other American brands were sold at different times with varying degrees of success.
According to AUTOSTAT, in the Russian car fleet at the beginning of 2022, there were more than 3 million cars of American brands: 1.71 million Chevrolet, 1.36 million Ford, 59 thousand Jeep, 47 thousand Dodge, 32 thousand Chrysler, 25 thousand Cadillac, 12 thousand Pontiac, 6.5 thousand Hummer, 4.1 thousand Lincoln, 2.3 thousand Scion, 2.2 thousand Plymouth, 1.7 thousand Tesla, 1.2 thousand Saturn, 1.1 thousand GMC, 489 Buick and 228 RAM cars.
