In Russia, there is a decrease in the share of sales of cars equipped with automatic transmission (AT)*. This was fixed by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" as a result of processing and analysis of the data of JSC "Electronic Passport" (EPTS) on the market of new passenger cars. If in January of this year the share of cars with AT was 68.3% of the total sales, in February this figure rose to 69.2%, by reaching a historical maximum. Then its gradual decline began: March - 68.6%, April - 67.4%, May - 66.3%.
Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" connect the reduction of the share of "automatic transmissions" in the Russian market with the suspension of deliveries of almost all premium cars to Russia due to the imposed sanctions. Almost all such cars are sold with AT. Accordingly, there is an increase in the share of sales of cars with the "mechanics". Thus, from February to May it increased from 30.8% to 33.7%.
