The Vietnamese company VinFast has patented in Russia a new electric crossover VF7, which debuted as a concept in January this year at CES-2022 in Los Angeles and will become serial next year. According to the Motor.ru portal, Pininfarina and Torino Design were responsible for the design of the novelty. So far, all that is known is that the show car is based on a modular platform, and it is driven by an electric power plant. Moreover, it is promised a second-level autopilot (in other words, advanced cruise control), which in the future can be upgraded to the third level on the SAE scale. To date, the Vietnamese company Vinfast does not officially sell cars in Russia, but is going to: it has recently become known that the mid-size crossover VF8 and the larger VF9 will reach our market.
As expected, these models will appear in the Russian market as early as 2023, and their preliminary cost has already been announced: from 3 million to 4.6 million rubles. But the appearance in our country of the VF7 crossover has not been confirmed yet. Currently, the VinFast brand line includes several models that were created jointly with the German Bosch and Magna, and the Italian studio Pininfarina worked on their design.
