Hyundai Creta compact crossover again became the bestseller in the SUV segment in the Russian market in May. Last month, the sales of this model were 1,197 vehicles, which is 79% lower than a year ago, according to data from the Association of European Businesses. Aggregate sales of LADA Niva Travel and Niva Legend SUVs were 1,102 units (-82%).
The third place was taken by the crossover Renault Duster with 561 sold cars (-85%). Kia Sportage is the next, which sold 560 units (-73%). The top-five of the most popular SUVs in Russia is finished this time by Kia Seltos, the sales of which decreased by 71% to 502 cars. The TOP-10 of bestsellers in the SUV segment in May also included: Geely Coolray (473 units, -49%), Haval Jolion (425 units, 3.7 times growth), Hyundai Tucson (362 units, +77%), Mazda CX-5 (359 units, -71%) and Renault Kaptur (301 units, -83%).
It should be noted that according to the results of five months of 2022, Hyundai Creta is the leader among SUV models with 12,413 sold cars (-61%). This is followed by the LADA Niva SUV family, which sold 12,350 units (-50%) and Renault Duster, sales of which were 9,731 vehicles (-34%).
