Geely became the leader among Chinese brands in Russia in May of 2022

Russian Geely dealers sold 907 cars in May, which is 55% lower than the previous year. As a result, Geely became the leader in terms of sales among Chinese automakers in Russia, overtaking Haval. According to the results of five months of 2022, 6883 Geely cars (-6%) were sold in Russia, according to the AEB.

The best-selling Geely model in the Russian market, as well as among all the "Chinese", in May for the first time was the compact crossover Coolray with 473 sold cars (-49%). It is worth noting that Geely introduced recently a new special series of the Geely Coolray NERO crossover, which will appear at Russian dealers in June. The cost of new items will be 2 million 749 thousand 990 rubles.

Meanwhile, in February, Geely completed the certification in Russia of the new mid-size crossover Monjaro, which was first presented at the Shanghai Auto Show 2021 under the working designation KX-11, and is sold in the Chinese market under the name Xingyue L. The novelty will appear at Russian Geely dealers in the second half 2022, trim levels and pricing will be announced closer to launch. With this model, Geely will enter the D-SUV segment in the Russian market for the first time.
