Best foreign brand in the truck market in May is Chinese Shaanxi

The Chinese manufacturer Shaanxi (Shacman) became the most popular among foreign cars in the new truck market in Russia in May 2022. This was established by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" during the processing and analysis of the weekly data of JSC "Electronic Passport" (EPTS).

Thus, for the previous four weeks (from May 2nd to 29th), sales of Shaanxi trucks in our country were 508 units, which provided the Chinese brand with the second place in the overall standings. Above it – there is only KAMAZ (1478 units). In third place there is another domestic brand - Ural (322 units). At the same time, if you look at sales by week of May, then Shaanxi also stably occupied the second place, but in April it balanced on the third - fourth positions.

In general, the share of all "Chinese" cars in May accounted for 25% of the total sales of new trucks in the Russian Federation. Moreover, in the previous week of May (from the 23rd to the 29th), this figure even reached 28%. In other words, today every fourth truck sold in the Russian market is from China.
