UAZ reduced sales by 36% in Russia in April of 2022

Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant sold 1,620 cars in April, which is 36% lower than a year ago. According to the results of four months of 2022, 6835 Ulyanovsk SUVs (-16%) were sold in our country. As a result, the share of UAZ in the Russian market was 2.3% against 1.6% a year before, according to the AEB. Flagship SUV UAZ "Patriot" in April was chosen by 433 buyers (-55%). As a result, it entered the TOP-15 of best-selling models in the Russian market, analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" stated. Among light commercial vehicles, UAZ is still the leader of the UAZ SGR family with 793 sold cars (-20%).

The UAZ Profi light truck sold 195 units, which is 37% worse than a year ago. As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", in the first half of May, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant suspended the production due to May public holidays and corporate holidays, during which the company implemented a spring campaign to repair the production equipment.
