Sales of LADA cars continue in Japan in circumvention of sanctions

The Japanese importer of LADA cars, bypassing the sanctions, continues to import new cars and spare parts for them in order to ensure a reserve for the future. According to the information of the local company Le Parnass, which is importing Russian cars to the Land of the Rising Sun on an exclusive basis, deliveries of LADA cars continue after February 24th, despite the sanctions imposed against Russia. However, Le Parnass noted that after July 18, 2022, the supply of both new cars and spare parts for them from Russia will be prohibited, the Motor.ru portal writes.

Currently, in the Japanese market, you can buy a three-door version of the LADA Niva SUV at a price of 2.98 million yen, or about 1.5 million rubles. For the "sporty" version of the LADA Vesta sedan, the local importer asks for 3.78 million yen, or about 1.9 million rubles. Recall that at the end of March, Japan imposed a ban on the export of premium goods to the Russian market: in addition to jewelry and precious stones, luxury cars were also banned.
