"Cheboksary Plant of Power Units" began the production of off-road trucks under the Silant brand. The first all-terrain vehicle will go to the Republic of Kazakhstan to work in a quarry, the ChZSA press service reports. All-terrain vehicles "Silant" are designed with extended functionality and can be used as a communal harvester, a vehicle for the delivery of operational teams, a fire patrol complex, a drilling and crane vehicle, an emergency vehicle, a commercial vehicle, a multifunctional vehicle for builders and road workers, a multi-purpose vehicle for special needs, an auxiliary vehicle for Russian Railways, etc. The carrying capacity of vehicles varies from 3 to 8 tons.
As Alexander Dmitriev, General Director of the Cheboksary Plant of Power Units, noted, there are no analogues of this vehicle in Russia, and foreign competitors, such as Unimog (Germany), Bremach T-REX (Italy), many times exceed the cost of the Silant car, which will successfully replace imported analogues in the market. The use of Russian components in the production and the availability of spare parts allows the significant savings, including on repair time.
