Haval Company on its official website has opened pre-orders for the new medium-sized crossover Haval Dargo, the production of which has been established at a plant in the Tula region. Sales of new items are expected to begin in the coming months. According to the press service of Haval, the dimensions of the Haval Dargo are 4620 x 1910 x 1780 mm with a wheelbase of 2738 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. The novelty is built on the basis of the L.E.M.O.N. modular platform, which formed the basis of the brand's bestseller, the Jolion compact crossover. The new Haval Dargo is powered by a 2.0-litre 192 hp petrol engine with a 7-speed robotic gearbox 7DCT wet type.
The car will be presented in versions with front and all-wheel drive. The crossover is equipped with an intelligent 4WD all-wheel drive system, a drive mode selection system from 8 available: eco, sport, standard, snow, mud, sand, grass / gravel and bumps. The Mobile Eye Q4 processor, as well as 14 radars and 5 cameras, are responsible for implementing L2 level autonomous driving (ADAS) elements. As for the adaptation of Haval Dargo to the climatic conditions of Russia, the car is equipped with heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, electric windshield heating over the entire surface, heated washer nozzles, as well as an enlarged washer fluid reservoir.
According to Denis Tsepelev, Development Director of Alarm-Motors Group of Companies, the key competitive advantage of Haval Dargo is its adaptation to the Russian market: an extended winter package, increased ground clearance, a powerful engine that matches the dimensions and off-road characteristics of the car, etc. The novelty will become a competitor to other models of Chinese brands, such as Chery Tiggo 7 PRO and Geely Atlas Pro, as well as an alternative, including non-Chinese "classmates", such as Toyota RAV4, Nissan Qashqai and Mitsubishi Outlander.
