Argentina intends to start the production of KAMAZ trucks

The Argentine side continues negotiations on the possibility of building a KAMAZ truck assembly plant in the South American republic. Poli Cousinho, a member of the Argentinean-Russian business club, who is participating in the negotiations, announced this, by adding that he plans to travel to Moscow in the near future to discuss the prospects of the project. According to him, the head of the municipality of José Clemente Paz, located near Buenos Aires, Mario Alberto Ishi, proposed a local industrial park as a site for the construction of the plant. In addition, an Argentine partner company has already been selected for a possible project, the TASS agency writes.

As Mr Cousinho noted, the Argentine side expects that supplies of products will go not only to the local market, but also to other countries of the South American common market. Recall that for the first time the possibility of organizing the production of KAMAZ trucks in Argentina became known in December of the previous year. As Poli Cousinho noted, the situation around Ukraine did not affect Argentina's desire to implement the project.
