KAMAZ did not introduce additional non-working days in the first ten days of May

KAMAZ in the first ten days of May will not introduce additional non-working days in the production of trucks. As a representative of the company told the Interfax agency, during this period, the KAMAZ conveyor will operate from May 4 to 6th, and the days from May 1st to 3rd and from May 7th to 10th will be non-working. Recall that for a number of years KAMAZ sent its personnel on corporate leave twice a year: in the winter immediately after the New Year holidays and in the summer, the Finmarket agency writes. However, due to the heavy workload of production and the limited labor market, KAMAZ canceled the planned corporate vacation for 2022 and does not plan corporate vacations in the next 5 years. As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", according to the results of the first quarter of 2022, KAMAZ produced 11,398 trucks, which is 16% higher than the figure for the same period of the previous year.

It is worth noting that due to the suspension of supplies of imported components under the conditions of external sanctions, the bulk of KAMAZ's production is currently made up of Euro-5 K3 generation trucks. Nevertheless, the production of vehicles of the K4 and K5 generations also continues, however, the stock of components is still the limiting factor in production. Therefore, today the main efforts of the company are aimed at localizing imported components and working with alternative Russian suppliers. As Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ, stated, the task of the enterprise is to start the assembly of K5 vehicles from January 2023 without the participation of foreign partners. The initial volume of produced trucks will be small, but the company does not plan to abandon the promising line of vehicles, in the development of which a lot of money and time have been invested.

In addition, today the top management of the company is taking a number of measures to organize the supply of components for the K4 line so that the assembly of these vehicles in demand on the market on the KAMAZ conveyor continues at least until the end of this year.
