Russian Skoda dealers sold 2,803 cars in March, which is 71% lower than a year before. According to the results of the first three months of 2022, sales of the Czech brand in our country were 12,081 cars, which is 47% lower than in the same period of the previous year. As a result, Skoda ranked the seventh in terms of sales among all automakers in Russia, and the brand's market share was 4.4% in compare with 5.9% of a year before, according to the AEB.

The bestseller of Skoda in the Russian market in March remains the compact liftback Rapid with 1,473 sold cars (-67%). The second place in popularity was taken by Kodiaq crossover, which was chosen by 543 Russian buyers (-63%). As a result, it entered the TOP-25 of best-selling models in the Russian market, analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" stated. It is worth noting that in December of last year, the updated Skoda Kodiaq crossover went on sale, the production of which was established at the Volkswagen Group Rus plant in Nizhny Novgorod.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in early March, Volkswagen Group Rus temporarily suspended the production of Volkswagen and Skoda cars at sites in Kaluga and Nizhny Novgorod, which will be idle until further notice. Deliveries of cars to Russia are also suspended.
