Affordable Livan cars may appear in Russia

In Russia, Lifan cars that have ended at dealers can replace the available Livan models. This is how new cars will be called outside of China by Ruilan Technology, a company created jointly by Lifan Technology and Geely Automobile after the reorganization of the Lifan Industry Group. According to Lifan Motors Rus, Ruilan Technology plans to release several new models of electric vehicles in 2022. Along with this, a model range of vehicles with internal combustion engines and electric traction is being developed for export outside of China, including to Russia and the CIS.

Currently, Lifan Motors Rus is conducting an analysis for the subsequent planning of the launch of new models in the Russian market, both with internal combustion engines and with electric traction. To date, the Livan Technology (Ruilan) lineup includes the Maple Leaf 80V minivan, which is an electrified version of the Geely Jiaji, the 60S sedan based on the Geely Emgrand GL, and the X3 Pro crossover, a budget electric unit of the Geely Vision X3. Basically, these cars are intended for work in taxi and car sharing companies. As for the current activities of Lifan Motors Rus, the company continues to operate as usual, by providing full interaction with the dealer network for sales, technical support, warranty and post-warranty service for Lifan cars.

Moreover, as Kung Shuai, Deputy General Director of Lifan Motors Rus, informed the Chinese Automobiles portal, the balance of new Lifan cars in Russia today is 130 units, but these cars will later be transferred “on order”. Recall that in August 2020, the Chinese company Lifan declared bankruptcy. As part of the reorganization of the automaker's business, the new owners renamed the brand to Lifan Technology, which continues to operate currently in the production of cars and motorcycles. At the same time, in January 2022, Lifan Technology and Geely Automobile created the Ruilan Technology Company, which specializes directly in the production of cars, and abroad its name will sound like Livan Technology. Lifan Motors Rus is now under the control of Livan Technology.
