Yandex.Drive may lose up to 35% of the car park

In addition, automakers stopped the issuing of quotas for carsharing companies during the crisis, and leasing companies increased the rate from 8% to 20%. According to experts, all this will lead to a significant increase in tariffs and a drop in the popularity of carsharing among Russians. Recall that the Yandex.Drive service is available in Moscow and the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as in Sochi.

"The choice between subscription, carsharing and personal car should depend on the need for operation. If you need a car on a daily basis and not only for commuting, owning it will be cheaper than renting or subscribing. Car sharing and taxis are more profitable if trips are made infrequently and within the city. A subscription is useful when there is a desire to change frequently the car and there is no desire to take care of its maintenance.
