Subaru introduced the updated Outback

Subaru has unveiled the facelifted Outback cross wagon at the New York Auto Show, which will hit the US market this autumn. The model underwent a planned restyling in the middle of its life cycle, three years after its debut at the same New York Motor Show. Externally, the updated Subaru Outback is easy to recognize by the "fangs" on the front bumper, stretched vertically to retouched diode headlights, other fog lights and enlarged wheel arch linings. The innovations not only brought the design of the "standard" Outback closer to the off-road version of the Wilderness, but, as Subaru assures, increased the level of off-road protection.

By the way, Wilderness itself still remains the same - it debuted just a year ago. Other differences include a larger honeycomb grille and a different wheel design. The rear of the car remains the same except for the reflectors, which are now horizontal. The updated Subaru Outback is equipped by default with the latest version of the EyeSight safety system, which operates more smoothly and includes an automatic emergency maneuvering function at speeds up to 80 km/h. In the top version of the Touring, an additional "wide-angle monocamera" has been added to the two existing cameras: with its help, the system better recognizes pedestrians and cyclists faster. In the same version, a rear-view mirror with auto-dimming, a compass and a built-in screen appeared in the cabin. Another innovation is the what3words (W3W) technology, which allows you to share your location using words. There are no changes in the Subaru Outback engine range. Recall that orders for the sixth generation Outback started in Russia on July 15th, 2021.

In the Russian market, the model is equipped with a 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer gasoline engine with direct fuel injection with a capacity of 188 hp. In the summer of 2021, Outback has new, first introduced in the Russian market, security systems - a system of adaptive head lighting, automatic emergency maneuvering, adaptive steering when following the car in front and keeping in the center of the lane.
