Sales of new luxury cars fell slightly in March

In March 2022, the residents of the Russian Federation became the owners of 60 new luxury cars, which is 3% lower than in the same month of the previous year (62 units). Such data were obtained by the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", having processed the relevant information of JSC "Electronic Passport". As a result, after a sharp increase in February (by 3.5 times), sales of luxury cars decreased slightly in early spring. British Bentley and Rolls-Royce are in the first positions of the brand rating of the Luxury segment. In March, cars of these brands were purchased in the amount of 18 and 17 units, respectively. The third place is occupied by the Italian Maserati, the result of which was 12 cars.

Also the previous month, the Russians bought 9 new cars Ferrari, 3 - Lamborghini and 1 - Aurus. Maserati Levante crossover is the leader in the model ranking among the new "luxury" cars. All 12 sold cars of the Italian brand in March are presented by this model. The second and third places were shared by Rolls-Royce Ghost and Bentley Continental GT, sales volumes of which were 8 units. As the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, despite the March decline, the market of new cars of the Luxury segment in the 1st quarter demonstrates the significant growth. So, for this period, its volume was 178 units, which is 87% higher than in January-March of 2021.
