KAMAZ received 530 million rubles of net profit under RAS in the 1st quarter of 2022

According to the results of the first quarter of 2022, KAMAZ received the total revenue under RAS in the amount of 61.5 billion rubles, which is 28% higher than the figure for the same period of the previous year. The company's net profit for the reporting period was 529 million rubles against 1.01 billion rubles a year before. Gross profit for the first quarter was 6.27 billion rubles, which is 43% higher than in the first quarter of 2021, the press service of the automaker reports. According to the results of the implementation of the production plan for the first quarter of 2022, KAMAZ plants and divisions exceeded the same indicators of the previous year by 15-16%, which also contributed to the achievement of high financial results.

Thus, the automobile plant, the finishing enterprise of the company's main products, handed over 11,398 car sets for shipment to consumers in the first three months of the year (+16%). Also there were produced 12,436 engines and power units (+15%). Since the beginning of the year, spare parts for KAMAZ vehicles have been shipped to dealers, service centers and corporate clients in the amount of 7.89 billion rubles (+16%). Recall that due to the suspension of the supply of imported components under the conditions of external sanctions, the bulk of KAMAZ's production is currently made up of Euro-5 class K3 trucks.

Nevertheless, the production of cars of the K4 and K5 generations also continues, however, the stock of components is still the limiting factor in production. Therefore, today the main efforts of the company are aimed at localizing imported components and working with alternative Russian suppliers. As Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ, stated, the task of the enterprise is to start the assembly of K5 vehicles from January 2023 without the participation of foreign partners.
