According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" by the results of processing and analysis of the relevant data of JSC "Electronic Passport", this is 2.1 times higher than in March of 2021. More than a third (34%) of the market of new electric cars fell on the Tesla brand – Russians became owners of 89 such vehicles the previous month, which is 3.7 times higher than a year ago. Behind the American brand there are two German ones - Audi (46 units) and Porsche (37 units).

But if the first of them shows an increase of 2.1 times, then the second one shows a drop of 21%. In addition to them, the Japanese Mazda (20 units) and the German BMW (9 units; an increase of 4.5 times) were in the TOP-5 brands of the market of new electric vehicles. The most popular model among new electric vehicles in March this year was the Audi e-tron, which sold 45 units (including the Sportback version). The second place in the model rating was taken by Tesla Model 3 with 43 units. Porsche Taycan (37 units) is the third one.

If we consider the results of the 1st quarter of 2022, then the Russian market of new electric cars is also showing huge growth. So, for this period its volume was 827 units.
