Prices for Aurus cars are going to increase

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, informed reporters that prices for Aurus luxury cars are likely to rise, although the production has not been affected by problems with components - while their stocks are sufficient. "Today, I must say frankly that there are company losses on every sold Aurus," the minister said, quoted by TASS. "Therefore, we will have to raise the price in order to, let’s say, pass these scissors." The increase in costs is associated with the need for the enterprise to fulfill plans for import substitution (change a supplier somewhere, work out other logistics) and further expand the model line.

The minister confirmed that the Aurus omendant SUV is going to be put into the mass production, as previously planned, in 2022. In the meantime, serial production of the Senat executive sedan continues at the plant in Yelabuga, operating activities are carried out to the required extent. Moreover, in early April, there was information that, against the backdrop of sanctions, the demand for domestic Aurus luxury cars in Russia is growing moderately, and the manufacturer does not abandon its export plans to the countries of the Middle East and North Africa. Previously, Aurus cars were produced in a small series format at the facilities of FSUE NAMI, where the production of special versions of Aurus cars is currently ongoing.

Recall that not later than at the end of March, a new convertible and a hearse of the Russian brand were patented, and on April 8th, the Russians saw at first the Aurus hearse (it was called Lafet), not in photographs, but with their own eyes, when they came to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior to say goodbye to LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky and take him to the end.
