Japan has imposed a ban on the supply of expensive cars to Russia

Yesterday Japanese authorities are limiting the supply of luxury goods to Russia, including cars. The embargo applies to models more expensive than 6 million yen (almost 50 thousand dollars or about 4.1 million rubles), both new and used, as well as motorcycles worth more than 600 thousand yen, writes the Motor.ru portal. Thus, the Russian market will lose not only all Lexus models, including the UX crossover, which costs less than the indicated amount, but also the Toyota Highlander crossover, the Land Cruiser 300 SUV and the Alphard minivan. In addition, the Infiniti QX80 and the recently introduced Isuzu Mu-X are under the embargo.

As for Nissan Pathfinder, it should be delivered to the country from the American plant of the brand, and the United States limited deliveries to Russia back in mid-March. As for Japanese companies that officially sell motorcycles in Russia, we are talking about Suzuki and Yamaha models worth more than 600,000 yen. Recall that four Japanese automakers have productions in Russia: Toyota produces the RAV4 crossover and the Camry business sedan in St. Petersburg, Nissan produces the Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano crossovers at its St. Petersburg plant, Mitsubishi localized the Outlander and Pajero Sport, and Mazda assembles Mazda6 business sedan, as well as the CX-5 and CX-9 crossovers at a joint venture in Vladivostok.

In addition, Suzuki, Subaru and Isuzu brands are represented in the Russian market, which supply cars from abroad.
