For every thousand Russians, there are 51 sold cars in average. This was found out by the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", having processed the relevant information* on the passenger car market for 2021. Among this number, 10 cars were bought new ones, 41 - used ones. As for the situation in the federal districts, in most of them (5 out of 8) this indicator is higher than the national one. So, in the Far East and the Urals it is 53, in Siberia - 54, and in the Center and in the South - 55. In turn, in the North Caucasus (46), North-West (46) and the Volga region (49) it is less than 50. If we consider Moscow and St. Petersburg, then their figures differ markedly - 44 and 61 sold cars per 1,000 people, respectively.

But at the same time, both megacities recorded the smallest ratio between sales of new and used cars (approximately 1:2). But in the federal districts it is much more. If in the Central Federal District and Volga Federal District it is 1:3.5, then in the Northwestern Federal District and Ural Federal District it is 1:4, and in the Southern Federal District it is 1:4.5. In the North Caucasus and Siberian Federal Districts, it is even higher - 1:8. And the maximum is in the Far Eastern Federal District (1:17).
