There are almost 800,000 Chinese cars in Russia

On the territory of the Russian Federation, there are 795 thousand cars of Chinese brands (as of January 1, 2022), which is 1.7% of the total number of registered cars. Such data were obtained by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" during the preparation of the business information "Cars of Chinese brands in Russia". Over a quarter (28%) of the Chinese cars in our country is represented by Chery brand - at the beginning of the year, 221 thousand units of such cars were registered. Comparable figures have Lifan and Geely (154 thousand and 152 thousand units, respectively). 15% of the "Chinese" park belongs to the Great Wall brand (119 thousand units). Haval (70 thousand units) is also in the top five of brands.

The share of passenger cars of all other brands from China in total accounts for only 10%. The most popular Chinese model is Chery Tiggo - at the beginning of this year there were 57 thousand such cars. Lifan X60 (54 thousand units) is the second one in this rating, Great Wall Hover H3 is the hird one (52 thousand units). The Lifan Solano (51.5 thousand units) is just a little behind the top three, and the Great Wall Hover H3 finishes the TOP-5 with a score of 35.5 thousand units.
