The plant "BelGee" ahead of schedule resumed the production of cars for Russia

The BelGee Belarusian plant, which, due to interruptions in the supply of assembly kits, suspended work from March 16 to April 1, partially resumed the car production last week. BelGee received a certain amount of components, thanks to which 300 cars were produced, which are intended for delivery to Russia. Basically, we are talking about the Geely Coolray crossover. In turn, the interlocutor, who is familiar with the operational activities of the BelGee plant, added that the conveyor itself, according to the plan, will start working on April 1.

It should be noted that the temporary downtime at the BelGee plant did not affect the shipment of cars from the Russian warehouse - the cars are delivered to dealers as usual. As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", according to the results of the first two months of 2022, Russian dealers of Geely sold 4041 vehicles, which is 2.3 times higher in compare with the previous year. It is worth noting that in February, the new Atlas Pro crossover became the best-selling Geely model in the Russian market for the first time.

Recall that this model appeared in our country in September of the last year and became the first car in the mass segment with "mild hybrid" technology, and since January 2022, Geely Atlas Pro has received a new affordable modification in the Russian market with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine 177 hp, 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
