AVTOVAZ will unite three car assembly plants in Togliatti

AVTOVAZ will prepare an order on the creation of a single car assembly plant on the basis of three existing ones. This was announced by the governor of Samara region Dmitry Azarov in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel. "This gives a great opportunity to maneuver with labor resources, along one line or another, which will be equipped with all the necessary parts and components," he said. To date, three car assembly lines operate in Togliatti, with a production capacity of about 1,500 cars per a day.

All three lines have been modernized and operate in accordance with Renault Group standards. AVTOVAZ today is a full-cycle enterprise with its own metallurgy, press production, production facilities for auto components, including power units and chassis. The Scientific and Technical Center of AVTOVAZ permits to make a complete development of the car, from a design project to preparation for the mass production.
